1600 Penn

1600 Penn (=Pennsylvania Avenue) is the address of the White House in Washington, DC, and it’s also the title of a quite funny series (a sitcom) about the life of a family of six people living at the White House. The father, Dale Gilchrist, is the President of the USA, he is married to a second wife, Emily, and has four children from his first marriage.

This series only lasted one season, but it is good, and gives an idea of how things work at the White House (if you forget about the family matters).

Do you know in which movie Bill Pullmann played the role of President before ?

The series provides different perspectives, by following the steps of most characters at the same time. It is both pleasant to watch and highly instructive.

Futurama : an animated sitcom about the future

Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening (also creator of The Simpsons). The series follows the adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who accidentally travels to a retro-futuristic 31st century (in the 1st episode)…

You should start at the beginning, though ! It is quite funny and easy to understand…
